Stay calm and focused
CBD Brothers Purple Edition Oil provides users with the calm and focus they need to stay productive. A few drops of this CBD oil may help you feel more balanced and reduce feelings of anxiety.
The CBD used in creating this oil was extracted from the flowers and buds of the female cannabis plants to get the best quality. CBD Brothers Purple Edition Oil is sourced from a Cannabis Indica dominant hybrid strain cultivated in Holland, containing 70% Indica and 30% Sativa. It is a full-spectrum oil that contains more than 16.4% of CBD and just the right amount of THC to provide users only with health benefits without any intoxicating effects. It is also a rich source of fats, other cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids.
As of late, CBD is on everyone's lips. Whether it is in the news, from a friend, or just about anywhere else on the streets, it has become extremely popular in the health and wellness industry.
Lots of people already know about CBD but still have lots of questions. Others are new and curious to try it out. So, let’s start by defining what CBD is.
What are CBD and THC?
CBD and THC stand for cannabidiol and tetrahydrocannabinol, respectively. They are the most prevalent compounds found in the cannabis plants. CBD and THC are among the more than over 100 other compounds in the cannabis plant called phytocannabinoids. Other well-known phytocannabinoids are cannabigerol (CBG), and cannabinol (CBN). CBD has gained popularity for being the compound that has the potential to treat some of the common diseases we encounter every day with little or no adverse effects.
CBD has been shown to have health benefits through research and anecdotal evidence. Lots of studies have been carried out on the cannabis plant, especially on CBD and THC. They are the most studied phytocannabinoids. CBD provides cannabis with most of its medicinal properties, and is not psychoactive. THC, on the other hand, also has medicinal properties, however, it is the compound that gives cannabis its intoxicating effects. In other words, it is responsible for the “high” people feel when they use marijuana.
What does Full-Spectrum CBD mean?
Full-spectrum CBD is obtained from cannabis and has other cannabinoids including THC, along with other compounds of the plant, including naturally-occurring essential terpenes, proteins, fatty acids, and flavonoids. Full-spectrum CBD is also known as whole-plant CBD extract because it contains the full range of plant compounds.
An alternative to full-spectrum CBD is broad-spectrum CBD oil. This one has similar characteristics to full-spectrum, only it does not contain any THC. During the refining process, traces of THC are removed to undetectable amounts. This means that the oil still contains the other cannabinoids, flavonoids, proteins, and terpenes.
The opposite of full-spectrum CBD is CBD isolate. Isolate is made up of only cannabidiol (CBD). The CBD is chemically separated from all the other compounds in the plant which means it does not have the characteristic ‘hempy’ taste. CBD isolates do not contain any THC or any other cannabinoids in the cannabis plant. Because of this, many believe it has less therapeutic properties than full or broad spectrum CBD extracts.
Is Full-Spectrum CBD Oil better than CBD Isolate?
All the phytocannabinoids and terpenes found in the cannabis plant have their specific biochemical effects, and research has shown that there is a greater benefit when the full range of compounds act together in what is called the “Entourage Effect”.
Specifically, scientists conducted a study in 2015 study at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem’s Hadassah School which concluded that full-spectrum CBD was a more effective treatment in inflammation than CBD isolate, on the basis that other compounds in the full spectrum extract augmented the effects of CBD.
Does Full-Spectrum CBD contain THC?
Yes, full-spectrum CBD products will contain trace amounts of THC but it is not able to produce intoxicating effects in such low concentrations. The goal for this is to provide users with all the full benefits of the cannabis plant. As many studies have reported, the cannabinoids work more efficiently together than individually. The THC concentration in this product is unable to cause any ‘high’ effects.
Are hemp and marijuana the same?
The cannabis species has three popular plants - Cannabis sativa, Cannabis indica, and Cannabis ruderalis. While both hemp and marijuana are classified as members of the species Cannabis sativa, they are not the same plant. Hemp has low levels of THC and a higher level of CBD; marijuana, on the other hand, contains a much higher concentration of THC, with less CBD.
Industrial hemp is cultivated to be durable, as it can also be used to make clothing and building fibre. Hemp has very long stalks and lesser flowering buds when compared to marijuana. This eases the extraction of high amounts of CBD and fewer amounts of THC. Hemp can be used to create a lot of things, including CBD, bricks and hempcrete, shoes, clothing, and plenty more.
Marijuana plants are naturally smaller and have lots of flowering buds. The main purpose when cultivating marijuana is to maximize the concentration of THC.
Is CBD Oil legal?
Yes, CBD is legal in the UK if the hemp it is extracted from contains 0.2% THC or less. Industrial hemp with very low levels of THC was removed from the list of controlled drugs in the UK, and the European Union now classifies CBD under the novel food act. The legal limit of THC for cannabis to be considered hemp is 0.2% and 0.3% in the UK and US, respectively.
Is CBD safe?
Yes, CBD has been shown to be safe even in high doses. Many safety studies have been performed to confirm this. The most significant study was done during the creation of the pure CBD drug - Epidiolex, which is approved by the FDA as the treatment for epilepsy. Safety concerns come in with the other ingredients some manufacturers use to create the final product such as heavy metals and pesticides. The World Health Organisation (WHO) has stated that CBD has a good safety profile and is well tolerated within the body. Some reports of minor side effects such as headaches, dizziness, and GI upset have been reported in some users who have taken CBD in large doses, however, you should not experience any side effects in normal therapeutic doses.

Why We Love It
This CBD oil consists of only naturally cultivated ingredients that were sourced ethically. The ingredients are also vegan-friendly and GMO-free. While there is still much research to be done, early studies have shown that full-spectrum CBD may aid in decreasing inflammation, muscle soreness, joint pain, and recovery.
Full-spectrum CBD is also made up of essential fats, vitamins, and protein. Vitamins C, A, E, and B are found in CBD, together with essential fatty acids, such as omega-3 and 6 and over fifteen amino acids. These amino acids augment the ability of the body to make protein, that speeds up recovery time and the fatty acids are essential for heart health.
