About TRIP

TRIP is a new CBD beverage brand from the United Kingdom. At present, the company offers three CBD infused, lightly sparkling beverages that are low in calories and full of flavour. They include Peach Ginger, Lemon Basil, and Elderflower Mint. These drinks are powered by natural adaptogens, such as chamomile, ginseng, ginger, lemon balm, l-theanine, and turmeric.
Each drink by TRIP is infused with 15mg of organically grown CBD, created exclusively in the UK. All the drinks are vegan, with no added sugar and come in recyclable packaging.
TRIP fully complies with the British and the European Union's regulations on cannabidiol. In particular, each CBD infused product must not contain more than 0.2% THC. All CBD drinks by TRIP contain 0.0% THC. The company uses advanced extraction technologies to remove THC and other harmful compounds.
Though TRIP launched in the UK, its drinks are already available in the Netherlands. The company plans further expansion within the European Union.
How TRIP started

Olivia Ferdi and Daniel Khoury started TRIP in 2018. They experienced the benefits of CBD for the first time after Daniel suffered from an ACL injury requiring knee surgery. During subsequent rehabilitation, Daniel tried CBD. He was particularly impressed by the relief that he felt as well as by the significant improvement in his sleep. In less than eight weeks, Daniel was able to dance at his wedding with Olivia.
Daniel's experience led the couple to research the history of cannabis and the benefits of CBD. Olivia started using CBD herself for everyday stresses due to a highly intensive career. First, she used CBD tinctures but later felt the need to create a convenient and enjoyable CBD product that could be easily included in her everyday routine. Olivia's dream CBD product had to taste as good as it made her feel. In 2019, Daniel and Olivia launched TRIP, a low-calorie CBD soft drink brand.
The couple’s goal was to give people light and refreshing CBD flavours to find calmness, reset, and relax. They designed TRIP drinks for customers with different lifestyles, wanting to improve their wellness or simply relax over CBD cocktails. Right now, TRIP drinks are especially popular with millennials and Generation Z who are pressured by busy lifestyles and are searching for ways to have a CBD break throughout their day.

The ingredients of Peach Ginger have been blended to provide an anti-stressful effect and to improve the human immune system.
Adaptogens
Adaptogens are botanicals that can be used to naturally help our bodies to deal with the daily stressors that make us tired and anxious. By re-establishing balance, adaptogens help us to reset and enhance our creativity and productivity. Let’s take a look at some of the adaptogens that TRIP uses in its drinks.
Chamomile
People have consumed chamomile for centuries for better digestion and sleep. Other potential health benefits of chamomile include reducing menstrual pain, lowering blood sugar levels, and slowing osteoporosis.
Ginger

Ginger is widely used in cooking and medicine. Some people use ginger to treat colds and digestive problems. Also, ginger is packed with powerful bioactive compounds that benefit the body and brain. In particular, ginger eases nausea, reduces muscle pain, helps with osteoarthritis, and lowers blood sugar levels.
Lemon balm
Lemon balm is a lemon-scented herb. It comes from the same herb family as mint. Lemon balm has been long used to improve cognitive function and mood, yet the potential benefits do not stop there. Lemon balm is known to facilitate relaxation, soothe symptoms of stress, and boost mood. Lemon balm may also be used to help reduce symptoms of anxiety, such as excitability and nervousness.
L-theanine
L-theanine is an amino acid and is most commonly found in tea leaves. According to recent research, L-theanine helps relaxation without causing drowsiness. In addition, L-theanine improves immunity and helps to control blood pressure levels.
Turmeric
Turmeric is a dynamic anti-inflammatory compound that protects the human body against foreign invaders. Moreover, turmeric improves brain function, increases the antioxidant capacity of the body, and lowers the risk of heart disease.
Rooibos
Rooibos is an infusion obtained from the dried leaves and stems of a broom-like shrub native to the mountains of the Western Cape in South Africa. Rooibos leaves have important dihydro-chalcones that exhibit antibacterial, anti-tumour, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory properties.
CBD vs “weed”

CBD stands for cannabidiol, a natural non-intoxicating extract obtained from the hemp plant. However, CBD is frequently confused with THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), the psychoactive compound derived from marijuana or "weed". While CBD eases relaxation and releases stress, THC instigates high behaviour.
Despite both marijuana and hemp belonging to the Cannabis family, only "weed" contains high levels of THC. Organic hemp, on the contrary, holds high levels of CBD and low levels of THC.
The legality of CBD
CBD products are legal in the UK and many countries of the EU. The Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 does not mention CBD among the "controlled substances". The EU permits the industrial cultivation of organic hemp to produce CBD and CBD products are openly sold across the UK and the EU. Yet, the maximum allowed level of THC should not exceed 0.2%.
The side effects of CBD
Based on the 2017 World Health Organization report, animals and humans tolerate CBD extracts well. The National Institute of Health (NIH) suggests that adults can safely consume up to 1500mg of CBD on a daily basis within a month. While clinical research into the medical uses of CBD continues the potential side-effects of CBD are also studied. There have been no reports of CBD having any major side effects, however, some users who have exceeded the Food Standards Agency (FDA) recommendation of 70mg a day, have experienced nausea, headaches, and dizziness. Be sure to stick to the guidelines on your CBD product to avoid such effects.
FAQs
How many cans of CBD drink does TRIP sell in a pack?
TRIP’s CBD drinks are sold in packs of 6 or 24 packs. The drinks are also sold in a mixed pack of 24 or 48. Each can contains 250ml.
How many cans of TRIP beverages might one take a day?
The FDA suggests up to 70mg of CBD a day. Since each TRIP can is infused with 15mg of CBD it is possible to take up to four cans of TRIP drinks a day.
When is it best to drink a TRIP CBD drink?
The great thing about TRIP’s CBD drinks is that they can be drunk at any time of the day. TRIP themselves like to reset with Peach Ginger in the afternoon but as none of its drinks causes drowsiness, it’s really up to you.
What will I feel after drinking a TRIP CBD drink?
What you will feel depends on your individual chemistry and BMI. A similar comparison can be drawn to individual reactions to morning coffee. While some people remain sleepy after a cup of cappuccino, others immediately feel excited. With CBD, you may start feeling more relaxed or you might feel more focused.
Why choose a CBD drink?
CBD drinks have become very popular in recent years. Currently, they remain among the fastest-growing CBD products around the world. Some people do not enjoy the taste of a sublingual CBD oil or tincture. These ready-made drinks that are infused with CBD make a great alternative. As well as being able to drink these straight from the can, you can mix them with your favourite spirit to create a cocktail.
How are CBD drinks produced?
Generally, manufacturers follow a standard procedure, though some details depend on the type of CBD beverage. Once filtered or brewed, CBD is added to the liquid. CBD oils typically have good integration with foamy or fizzy drinks, such as beer or sodas. CBD tinctures, on the other hand, tend to work better with non-fizzy drinks.
What are the benefits of CBD beverages?
CBD drinks that contain botanical adaptogens are considered to possess anti-inflammatory effects, similar to probiotic drinks. CBD beverages are useful for enhancing focus during the day or for inducing relaxation after a stressful day. Since cannabidiol is non-psychoactive, CBD beverages do not make anyone feel "high".
Where can I buy CBD beverages?
In the United Kingdom, many cafes and restaurants serve CBD drinks so that people can legally taste the benefits of cannabidiol while having a meal. Customers might also add CBD to regular drinks, such as coffee or tea. One should remember that consumers have a full right to inquire about their THC levels. In accordance with the British CBD regulations, it should not exceed 0.2% THC.
Does TRIP produce any other CBD products?
Yes, TRIP also produces two flavoured CBD oil drops. Orange Blossom CBD Oil contains orange blossom and chamomile extract to soothe the mind without drowsiness. Wild Mint CBD Oil contains mint flavouring and chamomile extract for aiding digestion and sleep.
Does TRIP conduct lab tests of its CBD products?
TRIP fully complies with the UK legislation on CBD drinks production and conducts all the necessary lab tests. A third party carries out the tests to ensure unbiased results and checks for the quality and purity of the product.
