Product details

 alphagreen Alphagreen 10% CBD Oil

In order to create the best possible CBD oil, we didn’t aim to meet but to surpass all of our standards. We meticulously sourced our ingredients, taking great care and consideration when it came to factors like where and how the hemp for our CBD isolate is grown and how the compound is extracted and processed. We wanted to combine the finest ingredients with the most innovative technologies to ring in a new era of cannabis craftsmanship.

How was this oil made?

Created in conjunction with a team of experts and researchers from the prominent ETH Zurich university, our oil contains CBD isolate of over 97.5% purity, one of the highest in the industry - we’re seriously fascinated by the science behind this process. The isolate is extracted from organic hemp, which is grown in Switzerland and sourced from the largest hemp facility in Europe. This facility is the first in the world to apply a full range of state-of-the-art, non-GMO cannabis breeding technologies. The isolate is extracted via short-path distillation which is done to avoid pyrolysis (thermal decomposition) of the cannabinoids, which are highly volatile compounds. Our isolate is organically produced without heavy metals, pesticides, and herbicides, and great care is taken to optimise the pressure and heat during extraction to yield the best results possible.

Why was this strength chosen?

We chose to make a CBD oil that is 10% in strength because it hits the sweet spot of being mid-range, meaning it’s very easy to be flexible with your dosage, and you’ll always know what to expect. Whether you like just a drop of CBD in the morning to accompany your coffee, a taste in the afternoon to stay on track during the day, or a dose to unwind in the evening - our oil can be the perfect companion.

 alphagreen Alphagreen 10% CBD Oil

Our innovative low-temperature extraction method produces a consistent and high-quality result that speaks for itself. Our manufacturing process utilises low-temperature extraction resulting in a quick, simple supplement for anybody looking to achieve more harmony in their life. These daily drops are enhanced with medium-chain capric and caprylic fatty acids and may also contribute to reduced inflammation and provide antibacterial, antifungal healing properties; it’s a potent powerhouse of natural ingredients, and we don’t want to be without it!

High bioavailability

While this oil can be used in cooking or stirred into a drink, we recommend that it is taken sublingually to increase its bioavailability. When CBD is absorbed by the capillaries in the soft tissue under the tongue, it enters the bloodstream directly rather than going through the digestive route, wherein it gets broken down by the liver. This means that your system is able to benefit from as much of the original concentration as you started with.

Medium-chain triglycerides and pure CBD compound (from Cannabis sativa L.).

FAQs about CBD oil

What is CBD oil?

Cannabidiol (also known as CBD) is a supplement currently exploding in popularity as a result of strong word-of-mouth throughout the organic wellness community, as well as preliminary research showing it has much potential to ease a range of symptoms connected to many health issues. CBD oil is an all-natural extract of the Cannabis plant, of which there are two primary strains: hemp and marijuana. Marijuana has naturally higher concentrations of Tetrahydrocannabinol, also known as THC, an intoxicating compound that is strictly regulated by authorities in most countries, particularly where recreational cannabis is not legal. In the EU, CBD products must contain THC levels that fall below 0.2% and have no more than 1mg of THC. Hemp, on the other hand, has naturally lower concentrations of THC and higher levels of CBD, which is a non-intoxicating substance that is legal in many countries across the EU, and in many states across the US. CBD oil is made from the buds, stems, and leaves of the cannabis plant. Often infused with a carrier oil, such as hemp seed oil or coconut MCT oil, CBD oil is now a popular staple across the wellness community and is commonly used for many reasons, such as to augment our general wellbeing or even to potentially ease symptoms of conditions. While research into the full potential of CBD is ongoing, many people tell us that they use CBD to ease the following:
  • Pain (as a result of exercising or certain health conditions)
  • Anxiety
  • Sleep disturbance

What are full-spectrum, broad-spectrum, and isolate?

If you’re new to the CBD marketplace, it’s easy to be confused when you hear talk of ‘types of CBD’, but there is certainly no lack of diversity when it comes to the varieties of CBD oil that you can get hold of. There are three different types of CBD products you should be aware of:
  • Full-spectrum CBD: this CBD contains everything from the plant extract, including terpenes (aromatic molecules responsible for the strong smell of some plants) and cannabinoids, including legal ‘trace’ amounts of THC. It is theorised that this type of CBD can provide an ‘entourage effect’ whereby the combined effort of all the compounds from the plant enhances the effect of one another.
  • Broad-spectrum CBD: this is essentially the same as full-spectrum CBD but without any of the THC content. There are still notable cannabinoids present, which may provide the theorised synergistic ‘entourage’ effect similar to that of full-spectrum CBD; however, any risk of intoxication from THC is fully removed.
  • CBD isolate: This type of CBD is often considered best for people who like to keep things simple and who want to feel the effects of just CBD on its own. This type of CBD product does not contain any terpenes or other cannabinoids. It’s simply pure CBD, often found in crystalline form.
It is important to be aware of these various types of CBD, particularly if you consistently have to take drug tests for your job. Although it is rare, over-using certain types of CBD, such as full-spectrum, could lead to positive drug tests - even if your intentions haven’t been illegal or recreational!

Why do you recommend CBD isolate at 10% strength?

It’s easy to feel a bit overwhelmed when you’re trying to work out the best dose of CBD, especially if you’re working with a product that has a concentration of 2.5% or 5% strength. While these strengths may be fine for a beginner trying out full or broad-spectrum CBD, when you are working with CBD isolate, things are a bit different. For one thing, you don’t have the other cannabinoids to potentially enhance the effect of the CBD; the CBD is working alone, so to speak. So, a more moderate dose of 10% CBD might be just the thing to get you started. When you’re working with a concentration of 10% CBD, dosages are also a whole lot easier to work out. The reason for this is simple. Let’s say you have a bottle of 10% CBD, which contains 3000ml of liquid. Of course, CBD oil is typically mixed with a carrier oil such as hemp seed, so, of that 3000ml, only 300ml (10%) is actually CBD. If you want to take a certain amount of CBD, then you must factor this in when it comes to how much liquid you administer. For example, if you want to take 30mg of CBD, you must administer 0.3ml of oil, etc.

How are CBD and hemp extract different?

While CBD and hemp extracts may sound the same, and they even come from the same plant, the potential effects of each are pretty diverse in practice! The differences start with the parts of the plant the extracts come from. While CBD extracts are derived from the stems, leaves, and flowers of the Cannabis (hemp) plant, hemp extracts come from pressing the seeds. Unlike CBD, most hemp extracts don’t include cannabinoids. Hemp extract is used mainly as a dietary supplement and can be produced as oil to drizzle over salads, slip into soups and drinks, or stir into low-heat recipes. It stands as an excellent source of vitamin C, B vitamins, magnesium, and iron, as well as fatty acids (also known as ‘healthy fats’) and proteins. Many vegans and vegetarians enjoy hemp oil as an excellent way to supplement their restricted diets. On the flip side, while CBD is also used as a supplement, people’s purposes for taking it are vastly different; many try out CBD for its potential to ease an ailment, such as the symptoms of chronic pain, acne, mental health issues (like anxious thoughts or depression that interfere with regular sleep patterns), or simply to support their overall health and wellbeing.
