Product details

Naturecan’s 30% CBD Oil CBD oil is made using a broad spectrum CBD extract that is obtained from organically grown high-quality hemp. The oil harnesses the full potential of the hemp plant through a combination of cannabinoids, flavonoids and terpenes. It has a strong, and deep natural herbal flavour.

Each bottle offers 30% CBD in 10ml or 30ml bottles. This high concentration makes it desirable for frequent CBD users and the use of double-distillation ensures that as much THC has been eliminated from the product as possible.

What is CBD?

Cannabidiol, also referred to as CBD, is an organic compound that naturally occurs in cannabis plants. According to research, this compound is accompanied by several other compounds that include flavonoids, terpenes, vitamins and phytocannabinoids. CBD belongs to the latter - phytocannabinoids.

After scientists discovered CBD in 1942, they became enthusiastic to find its potential health benefits. From the studies conducted, they learned that CBD possesses potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It's capable of alleviating the symptoms of many diseases that trouble people. Inspired by the findings, another scientist called Dr. Raphael Mechoulam went further to investigate other cannabis compounds. He observed that Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is the culprit behind the intoxicating effect of cannabis. This means that once THC has been virtually eliminated, CBD does not intoxicate you.

CBD in action

Inside the human body, CBD has the capacity to interact with what's called the Endocannabinoid System (ECS). The ECS is a biological system that's composed of neurotransmitters, enzymes and cannabinoid receptors. The neurotransmitters are chemicals called endocannabinoids. These endocannabinoids are identical to phytocannabinoids such as CBD.

Function of the ECS

The ECS controls a number of physiological functions in the body. It manages this by producing endocannabinoids which stimulate the cannabinoid receptors. According to scientists, this helps in the maintenance of homeostasis. This is the regulation of the body's systems to achieve a balanced, and stable internal environment.

Roles of CBD in the body

Since CBD is identical to endocannabinoids, it is also capable of supporting the ECS. CBD can mimic the metabolic pathways of endocannabinoids in the maintenance of homeostasis. Additionally, CBD is believed to possess powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. The anti-inflammatory properties are significant in minimizing chronic pains and aches while the antioxidant properties assist in combating free radicals. If you didn't already know, free radicals are by-products of food metabolism and toxins from the environment. They are responsible for the aging of the skin and they trigger chronic diseases.

In addition to that, CBD is believed to improve your mental health. It provides a feeling of relaxation and a soothing effect. This is due to its ability to interact with serotonin receptors in the brain. Serotonin is the chemical that suppresses anxiety and promotes a feeling of happiness.

Other potential benefits of CBD include improved bone, cardiovascular, and brain health. More investigations are underway to find the applicability of CBD in the treatment of diseases such as cancer, glaucoma, psoriasis and bladder dysfunction. However, do not attempt to treat or cure any of these diseases using 30% CBD Oil. Use it as a supplement to promote a healthy lifestyle.

What's the best way to take CBD?

There are numerous ways to take CBD, such as vaping, topical application, or ingestion. However, Naturecan recommends the sublingual method for this 30% CBD Oil. A few drops are applied under the tongue and held there for a few seconds before swallowing. This procedure allows for maximum absorption of the CBD oil as it goes straight into the bloodstream rather than having to go through the digestive route where some of the potency is lost.

What's the standard CBD dosage?

The amount of CBDrequired and the dosage frequency can depend upon your weight, height, and reason for taking CBD. However, Naturecan recommends you do not exceed 70mg a day. If you're a beginner, it's wise to start with lower doses and gradually increase as required. This will give your system time to adjust to the new compound.

CBD side effects

CBD will affect people differently depending on your body mass index, health history, and previous experience in using the substance. Moreover, it may also depend on the method of its administration. Regardless, CBD has been deemed to be safe by the World Health Organisation (WHO) who are in agreement that CBD does not pose a potential health threat.

However, as with most supplements, if taken in large concentrations for prolonged periods, CBD can cause minor effects that include nausea, vomiting, headache, depression, changes in appetite and diarrhea. To minimise the risk of this happening, adhere to the recommended usage patterns.

Will CBD get me high?

CBD will not cause you to get "high". The compound that causes people to become intoxicated is THC. As long as THC levels are low enough, you won't be affected. In the UK, the maximum legal limit of THC is 0.2%. However, to guarantee that its products have the lowest level of THC attainable, Naturecan CBD carefully picks strains of cannabis that have naturally lower levels of THC. They then employ an extraction method to further remove any detectable traces of THC that may remain.

What is a broad-spectrum CBD extract?

Broad-spectrum CBD is one of the three primary forms of CBD. The others are CBD isolate and full-spectrum CBD.

Full-spectrum CBD is an extract from hemp which contains all of the phytochemicals, including less than 0.2% THC (in the UK). Broad-spectrum is extracted from full-spectrum CBD and still contains a wide range of naturally occurring cannabis compounds, but typically zero tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). CBD isolate, contains pure CBD as all other phytochemicals are removed through distillation.

Broad-spectrum oil may produce heightened health effects because they feature a range of compounds that team up and work together. This is what is known as the ‘entourage effect.’

Improved mental and physical health

Many people are turning to CBD oils to curb stress and soothe anxiety. It has become the go-to supplement for mental health. When CBD interacts with the ECS, it stimulates the release of endocannabinoids and other hormones and enzymes to induce feelings of calm. It also helps to regulate sleep and appetite which are both very important for our mental and physical wellbeing.
