Lady A’s Morning Tincture is rich in vitamin D which can help to support and augment your immune system response. It also contains turmeric and rosehip oil that act as potent anti-inflammatories and can help to improve immune function. This 15ml bottle contains 1500mg of broad-spectrum CBD sourced from Colorado. Broad-spectrum CBD provides the entourage effect which is the combined effect of all the cannabinoids, flavonoids, terpenes and other compounds in the cannabis plant working together. It is flavoured with natural blood-orange extract to mask the earthy taste that comes with most broad-spectrum CBD oils.
What is CBD?
Cannabidiol, commonly known as CBD, has become one of the most talked about topics in the health and wellness industry. It is a compound found in the cannabis family along with other compounds like THC and CBG. These compounds are called cannabinoids and give cannabis its unique characteristics. CBD provides cannabis with its therapeutic properties and unlike THC, it does not have any intoxicating or psychoactive effects.
Hemp and marijuana are two plants within the cannabis family. The CBD that is infused in foods, supplements, vape oils, and tinctures are extracted from the hemp plant. This is because hemp has been cultivated and bred to contain higher levels of CBD and low levels of THC. Conversely, marijuana has higher levels of THC and lower levels of CBD hence why it produces the intoxicating effects.
What is THC?
Of the hundreds of cannabinoids in the cannabis plant, tetrahydrocannabinol, also known as THC, is one of the most well known. It is the reason for the euphoric feeling when people use marijuana. It’s also the reason why cannabis is illegal in many countries.
What is CBD used for?
Cannabidiol has many potential health benefits because of its ability to maintain homeostasis in the body. This is the process by which the internal environment of the body is regulated and normalised. Research has found that CBD can help maintain vital balance and may help support our day-to-day health and well-being.
How does CBD work?
All cannabinoids, such as CBD and THC, perform their functions by interacting with the body through a complex network of cannabinoid receptors, known as the endocannabinoid system (ECS). The ECS has two main types of receptors that cannabinoids can interact with - CB1 and CB2. These receptors are located mostly in the brain (CB1) and the immune system (CB2). The CB1 receptors located in the brain have a higher affinity to THC which is why THC produces psychoactive effects.
The ECS is a system that regulates several vital functions in the body, such as mood, sleep, appetite, reproduction, and many more. When CBD binds to the receptors of the ECS, it helps them to produce more substances and chemicals that help to maintain and regulate the internal environment.
How long does CBD stay in the body?
Research has found that it takes up to 7 days for CBD to be eliminated from the body, however, to every rule there are exceptions. Some bodies metabolise substances slower or faster than others, so the time taken for the body to metabolise and eliminate CBD may vary from person to person. It mostly depends on the age, weight, height, and basal metabolic rate of the individual.
Also, the time needed for CBD uptake by the body depends on the following aspects:
- Method of consumption;
- The dose of CBD;
- Frequency of taking CBD.
Is CBD legal?
Over the past few years, governing bodies have begun to acknowledge the difference between hemp and marijuana. CBD extracted from hemp is now legal at the federal level in the US as long as the hemp used contains 0.3% or less of THC. In Europe, CBD from hemp is legal in almost every country if it contains no more than 0.2% THC. It is prudent to do your research before you travel with CBD as it is still prohibited in some European countries. The government’s stance on regulating CBD and its related products is still undefined in many countries and as a result the rules continue to change. What we know for sure is that marijuana-derived products are still illegal in most countries across the world due to its intoxicating and psychoactive properties.

Supports daily wellness
CBD oil works with the ECS to control vital bodily functions, such as enhancing mood, sleep, and regulating immune response and appetite.
Can promote calm and relaxation
CBD oil is a popular supplement for stress and anxiety. CBD users have reported that they are less anxious in social situations and one study found that people who took CBD before making a public speech were significantly less anxious. Broad-spectrum CBD oil works directly with the ECS to regulate your mood and emotions.
May boost focus and concentration
CBD interacts with the ECS to increase dopamine levels in the brain. Dopamine is a neurotransmitter that controls focus, memory, attention, and mental awareness. When dopamine levels are low in the brain, people can have a hard time concentrating or become very forgetful. Lady A’s broad-spectrum CBD tincture may help your body to produce more dopamine.
May help relieve discomfort and inflammation
Research has found that CBD can help to reduce inflammation and chronic pain by interacting with the receptors of the endocannabinoid system. The CB2 receptors that are abundant in the immune system interact with CBD and may help to relieve pain and inflammation.
Hemp Seed Oil, Vitamin D3, Natural Blood Orange Flavouring, Rosehip Oil, CBD Broad Spectrum Hemp Extract, Turmeric, Sweetener: Steviol Glycosides.
Vitamin D3: This is a fat-soluble vitamin that aids the body's absorption of phosphorus and calcium. Having an adequate level of vitamin D, phosphorus and calcium is essential for building and keeping strong teeth and bones. Vitamin D is used as a treatment and prevention of bone diseases such as osteomalacia and rickets. When the skin is exposed to sunlight, the body creates vitamin D. Protective clothing, sunscreen, dark skin, limited exposure to sunlight, and age can prevent people from getting enough vitamin D from the sun. As many people may be deficient in this vitamin, Lady A includes it as an ingredient in their product for an extra vitamin D boost.
Rosehip oil: A rosehip is the fruit left behind by the rosebush plant once the petals have fallen off. It is rich in fatty acids, such as oleic acid, linoleic acid, palmitic acid, and gamma-linolenic acid. It also has high contents of vitamin C and A. This oil has potent antioxidative effects that help to fight off infection, free radicals, and it is very beneficial to the skin.
Turmeric: Turmeric is a spice that is obtained from the turmeric plant that is commonly used in Indian cuisine. It has a bitter, warm taste and is frequently used to colour and flavour mustards, curry powders, cheeses and butters. Turmeric root is also commonly used in herbal medicine to help with issues involving inflammation and pain, such as osteoarthritis. It is also used for hay fever, a type of liver disease, high cholesterol, and itching. Some people use turmeric for enhancing their thinking and memory skills, easing heartburn, stress, inflammatory bowel disease, and many other conditions.
Rigorous tests are carried out for each product to make sure that they are safe and effective. These tests are done by a third-party lab to ensure the results are correct and unbiased.
