The critical thing to note here is that according to the Hemo Seed Association - hemp seeds contain low levels of CBD - typically 25 parts per million!
CBD Oil is typically derived from hemp - but it's not derived from hemp seed, rather-so other parts of the hemp plant, such as buds or flowers. Now according to the Hemp Industry Association - CBD extracts are produced either directly from flowers that contain up to 150,000 parts per million of CBD. Or indirectly - a co-product of flowers and leaves that are mixed in with the stalks during processing.
Hemp seed oil comes from hemp seeds and CBD oil comes from - other parts of the hemp plant, such as flowers, stalks, leaves. So medically speaking there isn't enough CBD to have any medical impact. However, with CBD oil that's derived from other parts of the hemp plant, there is sufficient CBD to have a therapeutic effect.
